DIGITAL SPORTS PARTNERS ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH 68 OAK COLLECTIVE, THE NIL COLLECTIVE OF HAMPTON UNIVERSITY

Digital Sports Partners (DSP) is proud to announce a new partnership with 68 Oak Collective, the official NIL collective of Hampton University. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to expanding access, visibility, and opportunity for student-athletes at one of the nation’s most storied Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

“At DSP, this collaboration holds particular significance as 68 Oak continues to grow its presence in the NIL space. Hampton University has a long history of shaping scholars, leaders, and athletes whose achievements resonate across generations, and we aim to help strengthen the support system that encourages alumni to give back,” says Debra Lutsky, Co-Founder of Digital Sports Partners based in Virginia.

DSP will provide strategic marketing support, including building a new website and membership platform, developing a robust content strategy that reflects the collective’s identity, and capturing the stories of Hampton’s students and coaches. Support also includes the development of new sponsorship and partnership opportunities that drive long-term NIL growth.

For Chyna Inez, Senior Marketing Manager, this partnership holds significant meaning. “I've toured a handful of HBCU’s but there’s nowhere quite like Hampton. I’ve seen the impact of the institution first-hand on its students. Strengthening NIL opportunities for Hampton’s student-athletes aligns with everything DSP stands for, and I’m excited to help amplify their talent and their stories.”

The NIL environment continues to evolve rapidly, with new regulations, shifting market dynamics, and increasing pressure on athletic departments and collectives to do more with fewer resources. While much of the national conversation has centered on powerhouse programs, smaller schools and HBCUs often face unique challenges in navigating compliance, monetization, and long-term sustainability.

Digital Sports Partners was founded to address that gap.

“NIL is more complicated than ever but complexity shouldn’t exclude smaller schools or their athletes from opportunity,” said Patrick Walsh, Vice President of Sales at Digital Sports Partners. “Our goal is to simplify the process, protect athletes, and create real value for everyone involved. That means helping student-athletes build their brands responsibly, while giving fans and alumni meaningful ways to support the programs they love.”
